LSU Field Camp for senior-level undergraduate Geology majors is held at LSU-owned property near Colorado Springs, Colorado. We do a 1-week geophysics unit using a variety of instruments and techniques, including a 24-channel seismic setup we use for basic seismic refraction surveys of sediment thickness in a mountain meadow. Our university-owned instrumentation for this seems to have died of old age, hence we're looking to borrow a seismic system. We typically also incorporate a day of geophysics into our Intro Field Camp course for first year and non-major students, so instrumentation could be used for that as well, during the same week
