We will deploy seismic nodes in an area around Deming, NM in support of NM Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources efforts to characterize hydrologic structures in southeastern NM. The larger NM state-funded project involves collecting airborne EM and land-based MT data to better map out hydrologic structures, and we will support the effort by collecting passive seismic data in the same region for ambient noise processing. We plan for two phases of deployment, phase one involving 10 3C nodes as a preliminary effort, with ~150 nodes (100-200 ideal, whatever works with the available EPIC schedule) in February to deploy a larger grid that will cover gaps in the EM data.
