POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE: STAFF SCIENTIST/SEISMOMETER SPECIALIST
New Mexico Tech, DEPT: IRIS/PASSCAL
Regular, Full time position

STARTING RATE or SALARY RANGE: Negotiable
JOB DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities include repair and testing of broadband and intermediate seismometers, and maintenance of high- frequency geophones. User support and fieldwork are an essential part of the position. Assist with other hardware tasks as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree required in Engineering, electronics, or comparable field of study. Electronics required. Electro-mechanical feedback systems required. Field data-collection systems desired.
