Presenter: Dr. Jennifer Wade, National Science Foundation

Abstract: Trained as a subduction zone geochemist, Jennifer Wade is now
a Program Director at NSF in both the Petrology & Geochemistry program
in EAR and the joint EAR-OCE GeoPRISMS Program. Jennifer will briefly
introduce the audience to her example of a post-academic career path,
then focus on NSF’s Merit Review Process, how to be an effective
reviewer, and how to read your own reviews once you have submitted a
proposal. She will also provide an overview of recent changes to some
early-career programs and other opportunities across the Foundation.
