Dears,
Is there a method to convert .sac to .txt files? I have three
components files and I am needing to convert the files to ascii or txt, and
create a single txt file composed for 3 column in sequence Z, N, E with the
amplitudes of each component.
I will be very grateful for your help!
best,
Guilherme

Hi,
There are some software in the web...googling
But, on sac exits the command "convert", give a look in the help to use
sac> help convert
Another option is download sac2ascii on

Hi,
Yes. Use the convert function in SAC. You will have to write a short shell
script to get the data into your preferred format.
