Dear Early Career Colleagues:

In late April we held a virtual workshop to envision what capabilities our
early career community would like to see in a future Geophysical Facility.
The results of our discussions will be used to write a series of responses
to the NSF Dear Colleague Letter
https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2020/nsf20037/nsf20037.jsp: Competition of
Operations and Management of an NSF-supported Geophysical Facility to
Succeed the GAGE and SAGE Facilities.

Prior to the submission of white papers, we are hoping to better understand
the needs of the greater early career investigators (ECIs) community. We
are therefore requesting that anyone who self-identifies as an ECI to
consider completing our survey

on how they utilize the current SAGE/GAGE facilities.

We highly encourage graduate students (at all career stages), postdoctoral
researchers and early career researchers and faculty to complete the survey

prior to Wednesday, May 6th.

Best,

Heather A. Ford and D. Sarah Stamps
