The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences at the University of
Michigan invites juniors, seniors, recently graduated, or Master’s
students, to participate in a virtual preview of our graduate program. This
year, we’re running the event remotely, Thursday, September 30 and Friday,
October 1, 2021. The deadline for application is Friday August 20, 2021.
You can apply for the Fall Preview program here
https://lsa.umich.edu/earth/graduate-students/apply-for-fall-preview.html.
We are eager to welcome students who will contribute to our department's
mission of promoting diversity and inclusion in the Earth and Environmental
sciences. This event is an opportunity for you to explore graduate school,
participate in admissions workshops, and to meet faculty and current
graduate students. You will learn about:
- research in the Earth and Environmental sciences at U-M
- the graduate school admissions process
- being a graduate student at U-M
- interdisciplinary opportunities for students with Chemistry, Physics,
Biology, Geology, or Mathematics degrees
This event is open to US citizens or non-citizens alike. If you come from a
background that is traditionally under-represented in the Earth and
Environmental sciences and/or if you actively work towards promoting issues
of diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM fields, you are especially
encouraged to apply.
Best regards,
Yihe Huang
