Dear colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to GSA session T148. Advances in Explosion Source Monitoringhttps://community.geosociety.org/gsa2023/program/technical/topical. Please consider submit an abstract to this sessionhttps://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/gsa.confex.com/gsa/2023AM/top/papers/index.cgi?sessionid=54813__;!!Bt8fGhp8LhKGRg!D6D7ON3OXsyN7yfgiD070fntTEZPdGPwrg5pOspggtAEgqmIDsHYr7PP2VaLunsS8NTZrnRJRf2OycCCrYo$>. The deadline is July 25.

Rationale:

Explosion sources are important monitoring targets related to national and global security. They are also useful for imaging the subsurface geological structure and investigating wave interaction with heterogeneous media. Advances in explosion source research improve our monitoring capabilities and understanding of the Earth’s structure as well as its response to dynamic sources. We solicit abstracts on studies for explosion sources including, but not limited to, geological and geophysical characterization of a site for active source experiments, geological effects on wave propagation and source estimation, data collection, analytical techniques, and numerical modeling to improve detection, location, discrimination, and physical understanding of explosion sources.
