News Archive : IRIS Data Services Short Course at AGU

IRIS Data Services will again be conducting a short course on Monday morning December 9, 2013 at the AGU. It will run from 8AM until noon and take place in the MOMA room of the Palomar Hotel, near the Moscone Center. The discussion will be informal but we will demonstrate and discuss a variety of topics including

  • The new directions IRIS Data Services will be following during the next 5 years
  • Highlight our new Auxiliary Data Center, and what it means for you
  • Demonstrate some new applications
    • WILBER 3
    • IEB with the 3D viewer
    • The new jWeed
    • MUSTANG QA system

We will also discuss new product developments at the DMC and give a brief review of the web services enabling access to waveform data, event information and station metadata. We will also introduce a few new capabilities that should become available in 2014.

We will leave ample time for your questions that can be directed toward the IRIS DMC staff at the meeting.
