Post-Doctoral position in Seismology and Active Deformation , Tulane University
A research position as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Seismology and Tectonics is available in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Tulane University in New Orleans, beginning as early as May 2019. The position is a full-time, 1-year appointment with the potential for extension into a second year. The successful applicant will undertake crustal and mantle imaging using new and existing passive seismic data from rift zones with and without magmatism in East Africa and New Zealand. She/he also will join an international team in seismic and geodetic data acquisition (Kenya, Ethiopia, US) and seismic data archiving (http://ebinger.wp.tulane.edu/ ). She/he will contribute to a vibrant research team. A PhD is necessary at the time of appointment.
The starting date for the position is flexible, but a start date between May 1 and August 1, 2019 is preferred. Applicants should
