The Searchable Product Depository (SPUD) is the IRIS DMC's primary data
product management system. Complementing the DMC's SEED and assembled
data archives, which contain time series recordings, the SPUD system
primarily contains derivative data products of other types (images,
movies, etc.) created either at the DMC or by members of the community.
For users SPUD is the query and access point for these products. The
web interfaces allow users to search for products using customized queries
across product and event details. Users can search across all product
types at once or within specific product types. SPUD also has web service
interfaces for programmatic discovery and access to the data products.
If any products from SPUD are used in your research please be sure to cite
the identified author of the product and the IRIS DMS

About SWS Measurements
The shear-wave splitting (SWS) databases data product provides the
geosciences community with an easy access to two published
databases:
The Géosciences Montpellier SplitLab’s Shear-wave splitting
database (...more)
The Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) shear-wave
splitting database for western and central United States

About SWS Measurements
Effect of the media anisotropy on an incoming shear wave may manifest itself as splitting it into two polarized shear waves of different velocities (Shear wave splitting, SWS). Polarization of the resulting "fast" wave and the delay between the "fast" and "slow" waves provide information on the orientation and the intensity of the seismic anisotropy of the media.
Shear wave splitting has been studied in many areas of the earth and access to the results of such studies is a valuable tool for
geoscientists to understand the structure and dynamics of the Earth.
The Shear-wave splitting database
is an initiative taken by the Géosciences Montpellier to make the published SWS data easily available to the geosciences
community in a homogeneous format.
IRIS, in collaboration with the Géosciences Montpellier, is mirroring their database and providing access to it via IRIS' Searchable Product Depository (SPUD) interface and a customized interactive map. This mirrored database is synchronized with the Géosciences Montpellier's database on a daily basis and contains the following fields:
Station*
station code
Latitude*
station latitude
Longitude*
station longitude
phi*

dt*
