IRIS will host a small meeting titled "Alaska TA: Capabilities and
Interdisciplinary Instrumentation" at the 2017 AGU Fall Meeting in New
Orleans. This meeting will focus on describing the full breadth of TA
capabilities as currently deployed in Alaska and western Canada and
highlighting emerging use and science, with a particular emphasis on
interdisciplinary aspects. A preliminary agenda is outlined below which

Pre AGU IRIS Data Services Short Course

IRIS Data Services (DS) will again be conducting a shortcourse on various tools and services offered by Data Services. The workshop will take place on Monday, December 11, 2017 in the Dauphine I meeting room at the Hampton Inn Convention Center in New Orleans. The meeting will begin at 8:30 AM.

A reminder that IRIS will be hosting a Node Owners Group (NOG) meeting to be held at this year’s AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans.
The NOG meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13th from 5-7pm in the FULTON ROOM (note the room change) of the Hampton Inn & Suites / New Orleans Conference Center.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for community members who own nodes to discuss topics related to node use in seismological applications.

IRIS is pleased to announce aSIG meeting on Long-Term Seafloor
Seismographs (LTSS) to be held at the
2017 AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans.
The scientific needs of global and regional seismology require long-term
(2 to 5+ years, ~permanent), high-quality, telemetered seismic
observations from key seafloor sites in order to complement existing
high-quality permanent stations on land.
