Re: problem with transfer pole zero option from script - Arthur Snoke - 2013-01-02 23:41:49
Hi,
I'm trying to compilate Sac 101.5c in Ubuntu 12.10 with Matlab 2012A using
this command line: ./configure --enable-png
--prefix=/home/fdias/Programs/sac-101.5/
--with-matlab=/home/fdias/MATLAB/R2012a.
And I get this:
*checking /home/fdias/MATLAB/R2012a/extern/include/matrix.h usability... yes
*
*checking /home/fdias/MATLAB/R2012a/extern/include/matrix.h presence... no*
*configure: WARNING: /home/fdias/MATLAB/R2012a/extern/include/matrix.h:

Hi Milton,
sorry I was not clear in my last email. I want to change the y axis to log
scale...
ymin and ymax will indeed change the linear scale of the amplitudes.
Apologies for the confusion.

Dear SACers,
does anybody know how to change the y axis (frequency) scale of the
spectrogram plot?
Best regards to all,

Hi,
I am using transfer function in sac to remove the instrument response.
I have checked my pole-zero file and there is no special character in any
of the line. I also switched the line (either first line or last line) to
specify the value of constant and using 'to none' option as well but the
error persist. I have done it as shown below:
SAC> r 2012.011.18.57.FM09.BHZ
SAC> rmean
SAC> rtr
SAC> taper
SAC> transfer from polezero s FM09_ZVBB.zp to none

Dear All,
SSS provides a useful tool for stacking a set of records. For my
purposes the error associate to the resulting stack counts. How can I
evaluate the rms or variance associated to each sample of the
resulting time-series?
Computation is rather simple. Did anybody ever thought to include it
in SSS in order to have the possibility to
plot, and save, the stack plus the stack +/- sigma?
thanks
Marco

Re: stacking and standard deviation - George Helffrich - 2012-12-14 16:23:16
Hi All,
I want to remove the instrument response of a file and replace it with another instrument response but I only have the poles and zeros of the replacement instrument. Therefore I couldn't use the sac transfer function, which requires a sac built in instrument. Can someone please help me to implement this
Thank you
