Aloha,
I found a command called “smooth” that will perform a running average. However, it does not work on my version of SAC [11/11/2013 (Version 101.6a)] running on OS High Sierra Version 10.13.6 on my 2018 MacBook Pro
Any help on how I can run a moving average appreciated!
Cheers,
Barry

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum, but I am hoping someone can help me :)
I am trying to convert ~10,000 individual MiniSEED files into SAC. I currently am able to do so one by one however this is insanely time consuming. I have the files all organized into annual folders 2014 - 2018. Is there any way to bulk process these for instance by folder.
I am not a novice with Ubuntu and I feel like there must be a simple solution by someone who knows better.
Thank you in advance for any…

Hi, I keep getting an 'ERROR 1301: No data files read in.' message.
I am using 'respknt' code written by G.Randall to calculate P & S wave
response, which is written in detail in the following link.
http://eqseis.geosc.psu.edu/cammon/HTML/RftnDocs/resp01.html
I downloaded a set of codes including 'respknt' from Charles Ammon's
website, which is as follows.

I followed all the instructions written in the link, and made a velocity…

Hi,
I have stations cross correlated files(.) with SAC headers. I found out the
maximum and minimum values of epicentral distance (dist) is 418.29 and
10.24 respectively.
but when I plot epicentral vs distance plot using GMT pssac, the plot
comes up with a max and minimum value around ~425km and ~20km.
It would be so great if you could give some suggestion regarding this.
Thank you very much

Hi IRIS,
Thank you for sending SAC folder.
I think I can open the SAC code manually by a zip open application.
However, I cannot open it with the provided code for the terminal.
Also, so sorry but I don't think I understand much the instruction for installation of SAC on MacOS, can you help me with a clearer installation instruction for SAC?
Thank you so much.
Best,
Phuc Mach.
