Hi, I have a miniSEED file which has some header information on it created by SCREAM. When I try to read it in SAC, I get: 'ERROR 1318: Header in disk file is out of date: 20110213_0000z.msd Header version number is incorrect.' What does that mean? Geoff, your answer could generate a misunderstanding for people not familiar with miniSEED. According to the definition of miniSEED and SAC files you cannot just convert any miniSEED file into sac (the viceversa is always possible indeed). I assume that MacSac can read evenly spaced single channel streams with no gaps. Is not it? Marco On Sep 8, 2011, at 11:14 AM, George Helffrich wrote: Dear All - MacSAC reads miniSEED directly. Good afternoon, I have a question regarding SAC file headers. If I were to change the source properties, ex. EVLA EVLO and EVDP, is there a way to recalculate GCARC and DIST within SAC? Thanks ! Hi, I received some raw data in miniSEED format. How do I go from miniSEED to SEED? I have the station's location, elevation and poles&zeros. I tried to search online and in the SEED documentation, but couldn't find an explanation on how to go from miniSEED to SEED or how to create a dataless SEED for that purpose.
