I have 100 files and I want to normalise the traces by using Macro. I wrote this script ( r *DA01*/.
rmean/.
rtrend/.
envelope/.
lh depmax depmin/.
setaa a (max &1,depmax)/.
setbb b (min &1,depmin)/.
div (max %a (abs %b))/.)
I want to take the depmax and depmin for each file and do the calculation, but the used depmax & depmin in the script is only from the first file. How can I take the data for each file?!

Dear SAC users,
I have a synthetic ASCII file have two column time and amplitude, which I have converted to sac binary using xy2sac. The problem arises while setting the origin time of the sac binary file. By default sac binary origin time is set as -12345. I am not able to change the kzdate. Somehow, I able to set the kztime having omarker as 4.5275e+11.
How to set the actual kzdate and kztime in the sac binary header. I will appreciate any help or suggestions.
Thank you,
Sunil

Hi.
Will someone know how to move the scale of colors, to any position, that comes out mounted on the "y" axis of the spectrograms? I want to move it to a position outside the graph to avoid confusing the scale referred to the "y" axis with the color scale. Thank you

Dear SAC User,
You need to just untar the sac tar file to your home directory and set the
appropriate path for it to able to run. And that your are done, it should
be ableto run.

Joseph

Hello, I'm Inhye JO.
I got the source code of the SAC to make 32 bit base. Because my notebook has 32 bit environment in centOS 6.9.
I read the 'README' but I cannot find the manual about compiling SAC.
So how can I know about compiling SAC to 32 bit version in CentOS 6.9. Tell me where the file that describe compiling in source code zip file or how can I search the manual about that.
Please write back the answer mail soon.Thank you.

I'm doing my reasearch about ambient noise. To process the data in the software, header (B E KZTime and KZDate) must be same in all data. To change it, i need to cut the unuse parts of seismogram. Is there any script that can do that? Cause i've tried CUTIM command, but the KZTime-KZdate and B-E wouldnt match.
If i synchronize it first, KZTime-KZdate in all data will be same. After that, i CUTIM it and B E values become same in all data but KZTime and KZdate back to the initial values.

Hi, SAC users:
I have been trying to calculate the cross-correlation function between two signals (both of contains 240000 data points). For this I'm using the function CORRELATION with these parameters: NUMBER 30 LENGTH 62 TYPE HANNING. When I execute this command this message shows up: "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". So I made some tests with other parameters and I found out that this command executes well if I'm using 5 windows.
Then I tried with the autocorrelation function for on…
